This Tzatziki Greek Yogurt Cucumber Dip is a refreshing and authentic Greek condiment. Made with fresh cucumber, Greek yogurt, and a blend of garlic, dill, and lemon, its the perfect accompaniment to pita bread or as a sauce for grilled meats.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cucumber, grated and drained
  • 1 1/2 cups Greek yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Grate the cucumber and place it in a fine-mesh strainer to drain excess liquid for about 10 minutes

Squeeze out any remaining liquid

In a bowl, combine the drained cucumber, Greek yogurt, minced garlic, chopped dill, extra-virgin olive oil, and fresh lemon juice

Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined

Season with salt and pepper to taste

Start with a pinch of salt and a dash of pepper, and adjust as needed

Refrigerate the Tzatziki dip for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together

Serve chilled as a dip for pita bread, fresh vegetables, or as a sauce for grilled meats
