Smoky Paprika Fish Tacos with Apple Slaw

These smoky paprika fish tacos with apple slaw are bursting with flavor and freshness. The fish is seasoned with a blend of smoked paprika and spices, then grilled to perfection. Paired with a crunchy apple slaw dressed in a tangy-sweet dressing, these tacos are sure to be a hit at your next taco night

Ingredients:

  • 4 fillets of white fish such as cod or tilapia
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded green cabbage
  • 1 apple, julienned
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Optional toppings: avocado slices, sliced jalapenos, lime wedges

Instructions:

Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat

In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper

Brush both sides of the fish fillets with the spice mixture

Grill fish for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked through and flakes easily with a fork

While the fish is cooking, warm the tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side

In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, julienned apple, and chopped cilantro

In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, and lime juice to make the slaw dressing

Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss until well coated

To assemble tacos, place a grilled fish fillet on each tortilla, top with apple slaw, and add optional toppings as desired

Serve immediately and enjoy
