Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup almond milk or any plant-based milk
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 2 tbsp coconut oil melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup vegan bacon bits store-bought or homemade
- For the glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp almond milk
- Toppings: Vegan bacon bits and crushed pecans
Instructions:
Grease a donut pan and preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius
Mix the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a big bowl
Almond milk, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract should all be combined in a different bowl
Mixing until just combined, pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients
Take care not to blend too much
Mix the plant-based bacon pieces into the mixture
Pipe the batter into the donut pan that has been prepared, using a piping bag or a Ziploc bag with the corner cut off
A toothpick inserted into a donut should come out clean after baking for 12 to 15 minutes in a preheated oven
While the donuts are baking, make the glaze by combining the almond milk, maple syrup, and powdered sugar in a bowl and whisking until smooth
After letting the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes, take them out and dip each one into the glaze, allowing any excess to fall off
While the glaze is still wet, sprinkle crushed pecans and vegan bacon bits over the glazed donuts
Before serving, give the donuts a few minutes to set
Savor your tasty vegan bacon and maple donuts
