Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C
Grease a donut pan with cooking spray
In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
In another bowl, combine buttermilk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract
Mix well
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined
Fold in the white chocolate chips
Fill each donut cavity with the batter using a piping bag or spoon
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean
Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely
In separate bowls, melt the white chocolate chips and semi-sweet chocolate chips in the microwave or using a double boiler
In one bowl, combine powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make the white icing
Dip half of each donut into the melted white chocolate to create a white frosting layer
Drizzle the melted semi-sweet chocolate over the other half of each donut to create a black frosting layer
Allow the icing to set, and your baked black and white cookie donuts are ready to enjoy
